Personal Profile
Currently working as the First Mate onboard of the S/Y IDLE (33 metres), I am looking for a captain position on a <200GT Sailing yacht or Motor yacht where I can apply my passion for both sailing and hospitality. Continuously sailing from dinghy racing at 12 to skippering yachts in 1984 at 18, then in racing. I work now in the yachting industry as a semi-professional since 1996 and as full time professional since 2007. I have more than 25 years experience as skipper on several yacht types and possess strong sailing skills. Furthermore, I have been managing my own company for 15 years, which has allowed me to gain a valuable insight into clients requests, team leadership and pragmatic project management.

Yachting Professional Experience
- August 2009 to Present : For the same owner of M/Y Multiple, I moved on his S/Y IDLE, a 33 meters CNB sailing yacht, as First Mate/Engineer in charge of the deck, sails, engines and IT/AV on board. Since then, the yacht cruised in the Med, Caribbean islands, Panama canal, down to the Galapagos islands and did two transatlantic crossings.
- April 2008 to August 2009 : Bosun and IT/AV officer on board of M/Y Multiple (50m), in charge of deck duties, navigational bridge watch, responsible for all the electronics on board (Satellites systems, navigation equipment, networks and computers, AV and multimedia systems), tenders driving (Novurania/HamiltonJet) and dinghy sailing.
- Since 1997 : ForceDouce, founder and active skipper of a Belgium association that help disabled children to improve their self-confidence using sail activities and regattas. We have participated to several official French and Belgian Championships. (http://www.forcedouce.org)

Other Sailing Experience
2007 : UKSA Ocean graduate: Based in Cowes (UK) more than 2500 NM and 6 months intensive navigation training, offshore and ocean passages. Shore based training including navigation (Coastal & Celestial), IRPCS, SSO, STCW95, yacht maintenance techniques, radar (with ARPA training) and General Operator Certificate.
Since 1984 Skipper : Skipper on monohull and catamarans sailing yachts up to 84’ including:
- Skipper for coastal navigations in Brittany, UK, Ireland, Corsica, Côte d’Azur, Corsica, French west Indies Caribbean, Turkey, Belgium coast… since 1984;
